Our coaches

Vedran Bosnić – Coach

Coach Vedran Bosnic is a very experienced, driven, and proven winner in European coaching circles.
He comes from world-famous former Yugoslavian basketball coaching tree and insists on aggressive defence, team-chemistry and togetherness, as well as control of the game on both ends of the floor.
Some of his go-to coaching talents are being a great motivator with excellent understanding of tactics and game adjustments. He is well-known for getting the most out of his players who love playing for him.

Jere Mrduljas – Coach

An excellent young educated coach with great experience in working with young players.
Throughout his career he worked in BC”Adriatic”,BC”Trogir”,BC”Split”..

  • Won the Croatian Open Championship for the U-12,BC”Split”
  • Won the International Basketball Tournament in Ancona U-12 BC”Split”
  • Won B-1 South Leauge,BC”Trogir”
  • Working with the basketball players that have been selected for the Croatian National Team

Dario Gjergja – Coach

We are proud that we had one of the bestcoaches at the camp, Dario Gjergja.
He achieved his greatest success in Ostende, Belgium, whit whom he won the championship title seven times, the Belgian Cup six times and was elected coach of the year three times.

In addition to Ostende he also very successfully leads the senior team of Belgium.

Ante Nazor – Coach

Through his career he coached Split, Capljina, Zadar with great succes coaching different croatian youth teams, great experience in work with youth,  has won many medals like:

  • 2009 bronze medal world cup
  • 2011 gold medal european championship
  • 2012 U17 bronze medal
  • 2013 U18 silver medal
  • 2014 U18 bronze medal euro
  • 2015 U19 silver medal world cup
  • 2017/2018 work with KK Cibona Zagreb

Igor Kuvacic – Coach

Igor is the essential hand of Omis‘ basketball club especially in developing young basketball players. It’s not thinkable to talk about developing young basketball players without mentioning him particularly. As an example, Mate Kalajzic, Matej Rudan and Ante Zizic went through his program.

Miljenko Laki Lakner – Coach

Miljenko Laki Lakner started his basketball career in Karlovac, playing for Zeljeznicar. For many years he has been working as a basketball coach in the Netherlands, where he has trained both female and male teams in the first and second Champions League. Five times Netherlands champion with the Probuild Lions / Loon Lions team, the same number of Dutch Cups, also worked successfully with all the younger age groups as well as with the teams that won the Netherlands championship in the second league last season.

  • Three times chosen „coach of the year“
  • 3rd place with Dutch U20 women national team 2018
  • Currently coach of Dutch U20 men national team

Sandra Pesic – Coach

We are happy to present Sandra Pesic who is born in Split. Her astonishing career started while she was playing basketball in Omis. She also played in Sibenik and later in Split where she won several Croatian cups and championships. She had a very successful international career playing in Israel, Bosnia, Hungary and for the Croatian national team.

In 2005 she started her coaching career for several division 1 clubs and is working as crucial staff member for the Croatian national team.

We’re extremey proud to set the tone with Sandra in the women basketball area to make our girl campers happy to learn basketball from such an experienced and professional player and coach!

Bruno Sundov

We’re proud to present Bruno Sundov as a part of the IBC Croatia project.

In his rich career he was crowned European champion with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He played for several NBA teams such as Indiana Pacers or Boston Celtics. He also played with Lebron James for the Cleveland Cavaliers. An amazing 20 season professional career as a player.

Since 2018 he’s active for the NBA academy (basketball without borders) and for Basketball Club Solin. He’s working as consultant and coach.

Boris Kurtovic

Founder & coach of IBC program

Through his career he had the first league basketball clubs of Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo (Split, Dalvin, Sibenik, Brotnjo, Zrinjevac, Dukagjini, Trogir, Kastela, Besa, Peja)

  • Won: 3 championships, 3 cups H&B
  • Championship and cup Kosovo
  • Coach of Croatian national selections U20, U19 (bronze medal world championship)
  • Assistent coach of national selection B&H and Croatia
  • Won first cup in independant Croatia

Šime Vidaković

Šime Vidaković, a Zadar expert, who has had a wide range of basketball activities in his career so far. His resume includes the roles of head and assistant coach in senior teams (KK Jolly JBS, KK Trogir, KK Zagreb, Žkk Zadar, ŽKK Split, youth teams of Croatia), the role of coach in the younger age categories (KK Cibona, KK Zagreb, ŽKK Trešnjevka), the role of conditioning coach (U-16 HR, KK Zagreb, ŽKK Zadar, ŽKK Split), and individual work with players (Bagarić, Giriček, Tomić, Popović ).
